Jenny

A decent high school athlete and mediocre student (despite fairly high intelligence), Jenny wasn’t super into school overall. She preferred, and still does to this day, the education that living life and exploring provides.

Jenny hails from strong minded, hard working, funny, kind, family oriented and ethical folks that could NEVER be accused of not having an opinion on most things, or of ever being the quiet ones at any event.

Instilled with a very strong work ethic, sense of humor and imagination,

Jenny has been working (legally) since the age of 15 - often at more than one job at a time. Think service industries, office environments, family retail  business, massage therapy and environmental consulting and compliance and add about 10+ more mixed in.  All of these experiences,  earned her interest and respect for the trades as an alternative to traditional higher education.

While she did graduate, holds a political science degree, memories of one amazing professor and a made a lifelong friend in Megan, Jenny largely views her college years as the beginning of the realization that college is  not for everyone. That realization has only gotten stronger over time.

Jenny loves many things - nature, animals, music, traveling, reading and Diet Coke to name few. A bit of an adventure seeker in her younger years, she gravitates toward life’s simple pleasures for the most part these days.

She still resides in her hometown of Louisville (with a brief few years stint in Michigan) with her husband, dogs and any other critter on their land that needs food or shelter or is just really cute.

Megan

Raised on Saturday morning cartoons, public schools, vacation bible school and Reaganomics in a small West Kentucky town, Megan preferred to spend more time in her high school art studio and the local dance studio than learning advanced calculus.

Despite a curiosity for learning, her initial college choice was an unwelcome shock to the system nearly derailing any chance of obtaining higher education. Switching to the University of Louisville was one of the most impactful life decisions Megan ever made. U of L and the City of Louisville provided a place to reset academically resulting in lifelong dear friendships and cherished memories, notably Louisville Cardinals Football games and the infield on Derby Day. Spring in Louisville is magical.

Graduating with a decent GPA and a degree in Political Science, followed by a twenty-plus year career in Corporate America, Megan remains passionate about staying active in local and national politics by highlighting and celebrating Generation X’s perspectives, experience and contributions in the workplace and in public service, which is becoming more and more overlooked.

A lifelong learner, roamer and recent health nut, when she’s not traveling, party planning, or taking fine art photography, Megan splits her time between Kentucky & Tennessee. Kentucky has her heart and Tennessee has her soul.
